Using Vinegar for Health and Beauty


You may have product after product on your shelves at home to make yourself feel healthier and look more beautiful. However, it may surprise you to know that there is one inexpensive product that can help you stay both healthy and beautiful. And, you probably already have this product sitting in your pantry!

Vinegar is not only tasty in a variety of recipes and can be used around the house for cleaning, but it can help you to look and feel your best!

Vinegar for Your Health
Some studies have shown that apple cider vinegar helps with weight loss – it is thought that this kind of vinegar turns on the genes involved in breaking down fats (of course, you should still exercise and eat right. And, there is some dispute as to how much vinegar really helps with weight reduction). Other studies have shown that apple cider vinegar can help to control diabetes and blood sugar.

When using vinegar for health purposes, don’t just drink it straight. Just put one to two tablespoons in a glass of water and sip.

Half a cup of apple cider vinegar mixed with four cups of water can help a painful sunburn to heal faster while preventing blisters. A cotton ball moistened with undiluted apple cider vinegar and dabbed on bug bites can help to ease the swelling and itchiness.

Vinegar for Beauty 
Just one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed into two cups of water makes a great facial toner. Moisten a cotton ball and apply to clean, dry skin.

Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar mixed with one cup of water makes a great hair rinse. Use after washing your hair, and then rinse thoroughly and use a light conditioner.
